Thorne Harbour Country provides support, counselling, rapid HIV testing, resources and information around LGBTI wellbeing, HIV, Hepatitis C and sexual health across the Loddon Mallee. Operating out of the Community Hub, Thorne Harbour Country provides a safe place for the LGBTI community to connect and access information resources and referral services.

OUTintheOPEN is Shepparton’s festival celebrating LGBTI+ community pride and diversity.OUTintheOPEN was developed to address some of the inequalities faced by the local gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer (GLBTIQ) & allied communities and to build a more inclusive community in Greater Shepparton.OUTintheOPEN is a project led by Kildonan UnitingCare and is proudly supported by many other organisations and community groups.The festival consists of a health/wellbeing forum and a Carnival day on the third weekend in November. Other events occur during the weekend across the City of Greater Shepparton.

Greater Shepparton's LGBTIQA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer & allies) social and peer support group - meeting regularly for social events locally and across the state of Victoria.

The Diversity Project is a prevention, identification and early intervention program targeted to young people who are same sex attracted, sex and gender diverse (SSASGD) ... people aged 12-25 years who are at risk of, or experiencing, poor social and emotional well-being. Priority attention will be given to young people demonstrating high risk behaviours that indicate risk for mental illness and significant psychosocial distress (e.g. suicide attempts, self harm, early drug use, truancy and violence). The prevention element will provide gender sensitive health promotion and appropriate and acceptable youth activities (e.g. a SSASGD social-support group called "Diversity", gay-straight alliances, etc.) to build resilience and promote protective factors associated with psychological well-being. The early intervention element, through the employment of youth/social worker will provide gender sensitive informed assessment and proactive care coordination for SSASGD young people.
