Reporting directly to the IT Manager and collaborating closely with other IT teammembers. Responding to queries in a timely and accurate manner and resolving queriesto the user’s satisfaction.DUTIES• Responsible for diagnosing & resolving hardware, software & end user’s problems.• Acting as the first point of contact for all IT & technical queries.• Responsible for answering phones and troubleshooting client’s problems (For 2 companies).• Solving client issues both onsite and remotely, support for both Windows and Mac operating systems (TeamViewer and RDP).• Working within a TCP/IP network environment, including DHCP, DNS and ethernet.• Developing, quoting and installation of networks, computer systems, software, VoIP products, printers.• Configuration and setup of Cisco, Billion, Zyxel, Netgear and other basic modems/routers.• Configuration and setup of various Ubiquity devices including the Unifi range and using SSH to associate them to panels, remote configuration and management.• Involved in the rollout of software updates and patches.• Investigate specialist and complex IT support issues.• Communicating with third party technical specialists.• Configuring and managing backup & restore procedures.• Maintaining a wide range of computer hardware and software programs.• Basic configuration and setup experience involving Mikrotiks. • Knowledgeable with Office 365 products, setup and administration.• Antivirus installation and remote management (ESET Endpoint Security).• Identifying & reporting on the budgetary implications of IT projects and upgrades.• Provide secondary support for LAN administration.• Responsible for allocating work to junior staff and induction training for new staff.• Deploying new hardware, server backups & evaluating new software & security risks.• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems & Microsoft Office up to Office365.
