Energy Management Officer
Current* Responsible for Energy Monitoring, Bench-marking and Gap analyzing by introducing innovative solutions for operational cost reduction.* Implemented several projects like yard and workshop lighting improvement project, Pump house energy efficiency improvement project, Feasibility Level: 2.65 MW Solar Project, Solar Street light, Electrical Panel efficiency improvement project including inspection schedule and thermal testing to reduce energy, Compressed air usage optimization project with monthly inspection, 24 hours employee feedback system and tagging, Biomass Boiler installation Project to cater demand in tea center and kitchen (approximately cater 5000 employees Permanent + Subcontract)* Heading energy division under direct supervision of GM (Projects & Engineering).* Expand energy response to all department by establishing dedicated Energy team with 3 GMs, AGMs, Managers and Engineers (Monthly meeting), cross departmental energy team (Quarterly meetings), Quick energy respond team to address sudden energy wastes, 24 hours complain recording system, Best energy idea program with annual awarding. * Started enhancement in maintenance and purchasing to expand energy saving capability. Monitor and review maintenance and purchase activities to improve energy efficiency. Review purchase under my recommendation, review high energy consume purchase in Yard Committee meeting, implement good maintenance practices to reduce energy.* Review production process to gain cleaner and cost efficient process. Benchmark processes, workshop. Convert existing process to energy efficiency process and review machinery consumption. * Initiate to obtain ISO 50001 and have new experience for implement ISO 50001 in Ship Yard. Pre Audit Completed and waiting for comments.* Member – Internal Cost Reduction Committee, Yard Development Committee and Organization Revival Committee.* Special Cost Reduction Committee (SCRC)
