First of all I'm an IT and computer science enthusiast. I like following events from the entire IT ecosphere, above all, the development of open source software solutions, the evolution of programming languages, AI frameworks breakthroughs and innovations in the field of computer hardware. I am especially a fan of the Java programming language, I love it’s object-oriented by nature, the fact that it is a strongly typed language, the WORA concept, and that despite constant evolution, it always maintains backward compatibility. I also love web programming and the trio HTML/CSS/JS and I love seeing their expansion into the mobile and desktop ecosystem as well. I like to think of myself as a developer that has matured past its early days when writing fast and deploying even faster was all that mattered :) Today I start my projects at the board making sketches and drawing mock-ups and thinking of modularity, APIs, loosely-coupled reusable components and separation of concerns. Writing documentation used to be a hassle, today in my code you can find more comments and Javadoc than actual code :) I also don’t mind writing project documentation, actually I find it quite endearing and very satisfactory once you have everything put up in place.I’m also a very organized person and coordinating team work and handling project management is a skill I’m actually very proud of. I like hearing everyone’s opinion as long as it is expressed calmly and backed up with facts.I'm also a fan of Linux and everything surrounding this one-of-a-kind OS. I love trying out different distributions, hacking drivers when things are not working and finding workarounds to issues that seem unsolvable. Actually I have been using it as my main home desktop for over a decade now. Ubuntu still remains my primary choice :)In my non-business time, I am a father of three and I love being omnipresent in each an every step of their life. I am also a sports enthusiast and active in my local football club as the coordinator of the youth football school, where together with my football like-minded colleagues we thrive to create the conditions for body and mind development of sports-and-fun-loving children.
