I have earned my undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Elementary Science Education (ESE) from the Faculty of Education, Middle East Technical University (METU). My undergraduate education taught me several principal theories of science education and practices for becoming a science teacher at K-12 level but most importantly my undergraduate education provided me with the skills to explore, conduct research and be curious about science and technology and their applications in and interactions with human life.Workshops and activities that I attend during my undergrad years were my first introduction to the use of science and technology in order to accomplish tasks and implement useful functionalities in user interfaces.After graduation, I was interested in web development and in particular creating effective web pages for user interactions in the Internet. In this pathway, I have taken a complete web developer course online and accomplished HTML/CSS topics in this course and acquired certificates of achievement from the Cambridge Certification Authority. While I was studying web development, I realized that in order to create effective and user-friendly experiences, I had to implement user interface/user experience design guidelines and best practices into my knowledge. In 2020, I attended Drexel University’s Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in HCI/UX degree program and took INFO608 Human-Computer Interaction course. Then, I continued to take several courses about UX Field. I started my UX research career at UTRLAB company. After 1 year of work at UTRLAB, now I continue my career at Hepsiburada.
