Successfully founded, funded, scaled, exited, and matured WumDrop.com, the leading final mile delivery as a service (DaaS) business in South Africa. ◆ Founded: Began WumDrop in 2014 after beginning a diaper ecommerce business, and learning first hand that the delivery experience is the crucial moment in the ecommerce customer experience. ◆ Funded: Successfully raised seed funding from angels including Justin Stanford (4Di Capital) and Vinny Lingham (Newtown Partners).◆ Scaled: WumDrop's annual revenue is in the hundreds of millions. ◆ Exited: Sold my stake in the business in July 2021 to Massmart, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the world's largest retailer, Walmart. Massmart owns 100% of WumDrop.◆ Matured: Built out a stable organisation and recruited a world class leadership team.
