Worked on several freelance projects during summer 2021:1. Communications: Consulted Dr Filip Biljecki, founder of Urban Analytics Lab (UAL), on strategies to improve his group's communications and outreach. Created a LinkedIn strategy guide, hosted a communication workshop, and strategized UX changes to enhance UAL's website.2. Education consulting: Extracurricular and Leadership Mentor at Crimson Education. Mentor high school students to enhance their leadership potential so as to improve their admission chances at overseas universities. 3. Event Management: Fieldwork coordinator at NUS Office of Estate Development. Recruited, on-boarded, and managed schedules of 10 fieldwork helpers to collect data for a NEA and NUS project which aims to improve recycling behavior through green nudges.

Studying the development of green finance in Singapore and the ASEAN region - with a focus on green bonds and infrastructure.

The Habitat Foundation is a charitable trust based in Penang, Malaysia and the non-profit sister organization of The Habitat Penang Hill. The two organizations complement each other in the overall mission to connect people to this ancient rainforest, promote biodiversity conservation, and support impactful solutions through the programmatic work of the Foundation.

Research topic: “Urbanization in Southeast Asia” and how the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) has impacted urban land-use and sustainability in the region.Drafted qualitative research briefs on BRI projects in Southeast Asia and cleaned geospatial data (GIS). Also developed protocol and conducted fieldwork in Myanmar and Cambodia to study the environmental and social impacts of Chinese investments.

Researched Singapore’s Clean Energy sector and promoted SEAS’ start-up network. Engaged potential partners (e.g. VCs and incubators) to support and mentor start-ups in SEAS’ network.

Headed “Beyond the Haze”, a collaborative datathon (attended by 60 participants) to study the data behind Southeast Asia’s haze crisis with partners such as PM.Haze and Unilever. Initiated a research project with PM.Haze for club members to study the usage of sustainable palm oil by local eateries.Initiated partnership and managed relations with Data-Driven Lab and the Tsai Centre for Innovative Thinking at Yale to organize Hack 4 Climate (attended by 50 participants), a datathon and blockchain hackathon on cities’ climate action (www.hack4climate.live). Headed a collaboration with Yale-NUS’s career office to organize a diversity panel (with Bloomberg and Shopee) as well as a human library event with Amazon Web Services.

Part of the "Mystery Internship" Programme at Yale-NUS - Cleaned and analyzed database of 800,000 passenger cars and taxis in Yangon to develop business and marketing insights for CarsDB and its partners.- Built Shiny app to visualize sales data to assist CarsDB marketers in selling used cars.
