Mr. Olsen has raised over 5 million dollars including the 3.2-million-dollar Ross Farnsworth – East Valley YMCA project in which Mr. Olsen was the only Executive Director in the Valley of the Sun YMCA to garner a 1 million dollar pledge from Mr. Ross Farnsworth Sr. to name the YMCA in Mr. Farnsworth’s honor. The project was a collaboration between the YMCA and A.T. Still University. Other strategic partners of the project include Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority, the Mesa Hohokams, United Cerebral Palsy and Phoenix Thunderbirds Charities.Mr. Olsen also led a $350,000 sports field renovation project a partnership at the Mesa Family YMCA.Specialties: Community Development, Fund Raising, Partnerships and Collaborations, YMCA Operations.

Duties include leadership of a $3.0 million operating budget, , financial development, property management, community development, public policy, , volunteer leadership development, strategic planning, , risk management, staff development and retention, with more than 120 total employees. Additionally leadership and oversight of a 15 member Board of Directors. Key Accomplishments: Provided key leadership and fund-raising oversight for the new Ross Farnsworth East Valley YMCA, a $5 million full facility YMCA and a partnership between the Valley of the Sun YMCA and A.T. Still University. Personally responsible for recruiting 12 community leaders for the campaign effort and raising more than $3.5 million on an original goal of $1.75 million. Primary staff leader for design and construction phase of the project, including weekly architectural and construction meetings, ordering of equipment, staff recruitment, training and development, systems implementation and guidance.Led volunteers and staff through new branch charter development including strategic planning and vision alignment of the branch to meet the needs of the community and to recruit and ensure the effectiveness of the new board. Accomplished all of the above while still having the leadership, management, and oversight of the Mesa Family YMCA.
