Prior to transitioning to the private sector, Mr. Sutton served as Deputy Chair of the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL) Board, managed the development, interpretation and execution of Federal financial accounting, accounting policy and budget execution at Treasury, Health and Human Services (HHS), and the State Department (State). At State and HHS, he directed financial policies and procedures department-wide, while managing the compilation and audit of A-136 compliant annual financial statements. His background includes managing large, intergovernmental workgroups to formulate government-wide solutions for complex financial management issues. He also collaborated with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the development of the first government-wide audited financial statements.
