Native Nations Institute's Tribal Professionals Cohort (TPC) is year-long professional development program designed to equip Native leaders with knowledge and tools for Native Nation Building. Taught an online composition class of 15 ambitious first-generation secondary school students from 6 different schools in the San Juan School District.Counseling 14 students on academic courses, delivering supplies & food, and create online engagement with participants.

New Zealand

As a 2017 Trustman Traveling Fellow, I will be in New Zealand for one year through the Harvard Postgraduate Fellowship. The fellowship aims to provide Harvard students with international travel after graduation, with the idea of exploration and challenge as a means of personal development and enrichment.My project is to have an immersive cross-cultural experience with the indigenous communities of New Zealand, while also being able to experience the natural environments throughout the country. I aspire for my travel will allow me to experience themes of entrepreneurship, law, sustainable energy, and governance within New Zealand. Having limited international experiences, I’m appreciative of this opportunity to travel on my own, meet new people, and experience New Zealand!

•Implemented President Obama’s Generation Indigenous Initiative to support Native American Youth by planning and administrating the first ever White House Tribal Youth Gathering for over 1,000 Native American participants. •Engaged with over 30 state, local, and tribal leaders regarding various economic, social, and political issues impacting U.S. citizens, while also engaging with the public at various White House events, meetings, and panels.
