About Damon Baker

Machine Learning to improve interactions between real humans with digital things is my main focus. HCI, BCI, AI, AR, VR etc. Primarily working from home unless the plague somehow improves. Happy to relocate under the right circumstances. Looking to meet other researchers and developers. Not looking to meet people who describe themselves as: influencers, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, change agents, etc With climate change reducing air travel, and outbreaks requiring social distancing we are going to have to augment, connect and transcend what our bodies happen to be at the moment. If you are serious about doing big things that expand the possibilities of human experience and need a Data Scientist, Programmer and Researcher with a strong applied background in many fields, please message me. I'd love to hear more.

Listed skills include Programming, Research, Teaching, Multimedia, and 50 others.

Percussionelectronics/Voice

Ghost Ensemble

"Ghost Ensemble seeks to create experiential music. We see the greatest music as a transcendent bridge between worlds — such music is naturally experienced sensually and intuitively rather than intellectually. It is fulfilling because it moves beyond informing, entertaining, or “interesting” our minds and creates a complete experience. Thus, rather than focusing on a particular time period or genre, we look toward the essence of the music’s effect." http://ghostensemble.org/I play various (mostly percussion) instruments (bells, drums, singing bowls, ting sha, kangling, amplified rocks, water filled bowls, tam tam, bell plate, etc) electronics and voice, provide amplification and technology expertise and have composed pieces for members of the ensemble. We have performed at Spectrum NYC, SEM ensemble's Willow Place Auditorium, Queens New Music Festival, Eyebeam, for the book release of Pauline Oliveros' Text Scores Brooklyn Conservatory of Music as part of the Permutations Concert Series, caves hidden inside Inwood Hill Park as part of Make Music NY, on wall street as part of the mayor's office public music program, in a church as part of the East Bank concert series and more.https://indexical.bandcamp.com/album/lightbulb-ensemble-ghost-ensemble-live-at-pioneer-workshttps://indexical.bandcamp.com/album/listening-through-2016https://soundcloud.com/ghost-ensemble

In addition to a set of books and a website, the project will present a performance for each letter of the alphabet – the letter representing a particular animal or habitat.
