Develop and implement the strategic direction of the company’s IT infrastructure andoperations.

• Install, configure, upgrade servers, network components, personal computers and peripheral equipment• Disaster recovery strategies• Training and development• Network maintenance and upgrades• Exchange Server development and maintenance• System Config Server and associated deployment images• SQL Server and associated databases• File Servers, Terminal Servers and Print Servers.• Backup Servers and associated technologies• Virtual Server hosts and clusters• SAN Storage Cluster servers• Maintainance of PPP, multi site and LAN network connectivity and routing• Cisco routers design and implementation of company wide WAN and VPN topology• Document and maintain ICT procedures, assets and managed services• Develop technical strategies in alignment with core business processes• Carry out installation/migration of core business systems• Coordinate and manage core business ICT related projects

• Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support for staff and entire IT infrastructure inclusive of maintenance and administration of servers, desktops, thin clients, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, PDA's, security, application deployment, security updates and patches • Administration of Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, Remote Desktop, PBX, VMware ESXi and Proxy servers • Design, implement and administer Disaster Recovery procedures and documentation • Manage and maintain Windows Server backup strategies • Devise technical strategic plans for IT innovation and upgrades • Proactively seek to improve and enhance product delivery mechanisms using latest technologies • Conduct ongoing training and development for staff • Fill role as Acting IT Manager during IT Managers periods of absence • Work within Service Level Agreements and an ITIL framework (target uptime 99.9 %) • Manage and document all Network Assets • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN

• Provide level 1/2 support for over 9000 government employees• Troubleshoot application, hardware, network, OS, printer, e-mail, GRAS and VPN issues• Train staff on a required basis• Liaise with applicable LOS• Log and monitor server outages and severities• Maintain strict account security and confidentiality• Monitor active tickets and ensure SLA is achieved
