I was looking for a fun job before beginning my career, and found a great opportunity to join the team at Tweeter Framingham. It all started so I could have access to concert tickets at the Tweeter center, and that summer job in fact was the career move I had been looking for but couldn't find. It was a place I could learn the science of residential technology systems, and the art of customer service. I was extremely fortunate to be a part of experienced team, and as much as the technology has changed since then, the fundamentals have not.At Tweeter Framingham my primary responsibilities were to the customer, and I was able to work my clients helping them navigate the many choices of elements they could choose for their home; Plasma vs LCD or in-wall speakers vs bookshelf speakers and the like. As the technology advanced, so did our offerings and soon enough I was able to design home automation systems including lighting, shades and surveillance integration with various controls throughout the home. Perhaps the biggest benefit of working at Tweeter was the training. I participated in sales, design and technical training from some of the biggest names in residential technology and that education was a big part of my foundation in the industry.
