As a heavy user of Autodesk Inventor I provided CAD modeling and documentation for new conveyor and manufacturing automation products and systems. I worked with customers and suppliers to tailor designs so that they met customer requirements.

While in this position I managed the day to day activities of 6 to 7 engineers, designers and techs related to mechanical product design and engineering change control. I participated in the direction of four mechanical designers.

In this position I contributed spindle motor engineering to enhance the understanding of and manufacturability of desktop disk drives. I conducted failure analysis for manufacturing yield problem resolution related to spindle motors. I developed a bearing defect resonance modeling tool (Excel based), previously unavailable at Maxtor, facilitating extremely rapid spindle motor design iterations and vendor problem resolution. I participated in setting up a motor analysis lab in the Singapore facility and provided training for Singapore engineers.
