Overseeing a team of information professionals and reporting to the Office of the Corporate Chief Information Officer in Service Alberta, this role is accountable for the provision of integrated data and information services, an IM program, comprehensive assessments of IM practices, and business transformational services to the ministries of Education, Advanced Education, and Labour and Immigration. Additionally, the role ensures the IM program is developed and implemented in alignment with legislation and Enterprise IM strategies and standards, to reduce departmental risk and deliver business value. Provides leadership, identification, evaluation and recommendations of opportunities to address and enhance information/data management services delivered by Sector.

Overseeing a team of 14 Information Management Professionals, this role was accountable for all electronic and paper records processes throughout the Department of Energy, including classification development, dispositioning of records, management of electronic documents and systems, and imaging paper records for storage in our Electronic Content Management System. The role was also accountable for developing and advancing the Department’s five-year strategic plan - Digital Vision 2020.

This secondment position was responsible for assiting in the standup of the newly creatated Alberta Environmental Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting Agency (AEMERA) by creating and implmeneting Information Management policies, procedures and guidenlines. One of the key aspects of these policies was "Digital by Default", and the position was responsible for architecting solutions integrating IT technologies, policies, legislative requirements, and business processes to enable AEMERA employees to manage thier digital information in a relevant and credible manner.
