My current job is mainly lecturing earth science, culturele heritage and landscape ecology of The Netherlands though I also give some international courses.at the moment I implement the concept of "DNA of the landscape" in the minor "developing landscapes with history". Time, space and semantics (meaning) of the landscape is presented in a website and applied in valuing and developing culturele heritage in the landscape.End 2010 I finished my PhD-thesis. In the thesis I combine GIS and Remote Sensing technology with landscape ecology, vegetation science and management of small-scale dynamic ecosystems. Since 2016 cultural heritage has also become part of my research of The Dutch landscape in general and the dunes in particular. In this research I combine GIS, database techniques and the study of historic element in the landscape.The combination of developing tools for nature and heritage management and higher education is challenging.Specialties: Developing, coordinating and lecturing batchelor projects on Land and Water Management, Earth Sciences, Landscape Ecology and Cultural Heritage.Development and production of sequential landscape ecological maps of small-scale dynamic ecosystems (coastal dunes, driftsands, floodplains, salt marshes, etc.)
