My name is Daniel Athanasio, I am currently a sophomore at the University of South Carolina, where I am studying Accounting and management. I knew I wanted to enter the business world because my grandparents were entrepreneurs, so business has always been discussed in my family since I was born. I developed my leadership skills in my KPMG summer internship by working with other interns across the nation to identify and present a way for KPMG to lower its carbon emissions to a panel of judges. Also, by working as a Pizza Delivery Driver, I enhanced my communication skills verbally and through the use of technology to ensure the efficient and timely manner in which customers were able to receive the goods they purchased. I’m passionate about learning more about the accounting and management industries as I want to be involved in these fields after I graduate college and enter the business world. In high school, I had the opportunity to fill all my elective periods with business classes, where I was able to enhance and further develop myself in the business world.I bring leadership experience as a former varsity tennis captain and Chief of Staff for the Academy of Finance, where I helped raise over $10,000 for cancer research. Additionally, I am a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi at USC, where I continue to develop my leadership and teamwork skills. I am excited to continue growing my expertise in business specifically, accounting and management as I work towards my anticipated graduation in Spring 2027.
