Principal planner managing the City of Somerville's Zoning Ordinance. My work focuses on the research and development of regulation to achieve a wide variety of policy objectives concerning development and redevelopment. I am the primary author and graphic designer of the newly proposed 2018 Somerville Zoning Ordinance, a complete rewrite of the City's most fundamental operating system. I also review, analyze, and provide technical support for amendments to the existing 1990 Somerville Zoning Ordinance with recent subjects including inclusionary housing, public space, commercial development, near highway air-pollution, steep slopes, and cannabis enterprises. I have also written entirely new district regulations for the existing ordinance to facilitate transformational redevelopment in Cambridge Crossing and Union Square along with reuse of the former Powderhouse School campus. I have served as Somerville's representative to MAPC's Inner Core Committee since March 2017 and as Co-Chair of the committee since June 2017 (to present).
