Passionate about music and art. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and listening to music ever since I had ears. I started trumpet in 4th grade, and art classes even earlier. I switched to French horn in 5th grade and added guitar when I was 15. I played solos in band, played in Chicago Metropolitan Youth Symphony in High School in addition to Oswego High School band (marching and concert). I started playing coffeehouses professionally my freshman year of college. After college, I played in a series of acoustic duos and cover bands ranging in styles from folk, rock, country and jazz. I toured with bands in the late 80's and early 90's. I began branching out into sound, recording, and teaching guitar. My sound company, Absolute Sound, provided sound systems for folk festivals including Fox Valley Folk Fest (for over 10 years), Warrenville Folk Fest, and the City of Warrenville Fourth of July celebrations (4years). In the 90's I began to lead worship and concentrate more on teaching, recording. From that, I began to work with developing younger musicians and training others to play in bands. I continued to play and record with several bands. I produced a CD with the First Presbyterian Worship Band, playing, writing and recording several songs. I recorded a solo CD of mostly origional music and forming my own band as an outlet for that project as well. Currently, I teach guitar, record and perform with several bands, including my own, an Irish band, R&B band, and jazz combos. I have been doing side projects for others, recording mixing with Pro Tools. I volunteer and have been hired at several area churchs, playing guitar, bass and singing.
