Google Cloud for Startups is a division within Google Cloud aimed at attracting and onboarding early stage entrepreneurs to build their startups infrastructure on top of Google Cloud. As the CTO in Residence, my role had 3 main components:* CTO of CTOs - Mentor startup CTOs and help them design, build and iterate their technical infrastructure on Google Cloud.* Business Development - Formulate and execute a go-to-market strategy for onboarding startups in EMEA via leveraging new and existing relationships with local influencers, cross functional teams and investors (VCs, Accelerators, Angels). * Advocacy - Lecture and demonstrate new Google Cloud technologies, having a laser focus on the startup ecosystem (Kubernetes, BigQuery) .During my time at Google, I have tripled our existing pipeline, increased existing revenue of startups already onboarded by over 150% and publicly advocated GCP in 30+ meetups, conferences and developer gatherings. I hold 3 professional certifications: Google Cloud Architect, Developer and Security Engineer.

As CTO, I equally split my time between the following focus areas:1. Team building - Recruiting and preserving talent (a team of 10 engineers) without compromising on quality and cohesiveness of my team.2. Sales & RFPs - Senior technical POC involved in every large customer sale cycle.3. Architecture & Development - Building a scalable solution that can grow with our customer needs, keeping technical debt to a minimum. Our product analyzed 50 million products a month at 40+ retailers and marketplaces and generated actionable recommendations to our customers. Our technical infrastructure was built on GCP, with use of K8s, BigQuery, ElasticSearch & Redis in a micro-services architecture.

As head of business development at Silverback, I led sourcing and on-boarding new customers and partners to use the Silverback platform. In 2 years, we had 30 marketplaces and retailers using our platform and reached $1M in ARR. Lastly, I led our initial funding round ($1.7M) and got us accepted to our first accelerator (TechStars).

Taught the next wave of Zell entrepreneurs how to build efficient, fast and measurable web prototypes using Ruby & Rails

RepStamp, which started at the Zell Entrepreneurship program, built a universal reputation system for e-commerce marketplaces. Our solution allowed sellers in peer to peer marketplaces to 'carry' their online reputation (ratings, reviews, transactional history) between markets to increase engagement and conversion rates. As one of the co-founders I lead both business development and technical efforts. On the technical end, our solution included a front-facing reputation widget that got integrated into leading marketplaces and a robust API to support identity matching and data crawling. On the business end, I had to reach out to potential customers, present our solution in multiple conferences around the world, and build relationships with investors.

IdMlogic created an identity management platform for large enterprises. Throughout my tenure at the company, I started as a software engineer, later led product development and lastly led customer delivery worldwide of our platform. As part of my role I:* Oversaw company wide implementations at customer sites (US, EMEA), while navigating any technical or business deal blockers. * Acted as main customer stakeholder point of contact, aggregating requirements, prioritizing requests and building a product roadmap. * Led product development while mentoring a team of engineers and analysts.
