•Recently completed the conversion of existing electro-mechanical protections (Transformer, Bus and Feeder) to IEC61850 (GOOSE messaging) design at Owen Sound TS. Worked with Manta 5100 and Omicron CMC 356 test equipment for calibration and GOOSE publishing and subscription requirements.•Supervise staff performing work on all types of Protection and Control equipment, including participating in interviewing and dealing with disciplinary matters, as appropriate. •Provide direction and guidance to crew to ensure that work is completed safely and efficiently including handling and assignments of work. •Responsible for assigning, executing, monitoring and reporting scheduled work activities for crew. •Perform installation, trouble-shooting and maintenance of all types of Protection and Control equipment. •Administer, prepare and participate in various work phases involving initial inspection, trouble-shooting operations and preventative maintenance of protection and control equipment in the district or area assigned. •Assist in the preparing and implementing safety policies and strategies, as directed.• Coordinate the performance of special tests on important and complex electrical equipment.
