VETS serves America's veterans and separating service members by preparing them for meaningful careers, providing employment resources and expertise, and protecting their employment rights.As the Director for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS) in Montana, I provide leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring VETS state programs and activities in Montana. I serve in an advisory capacity and provide technical assistance with numerous partners including State and local government officials, veterans and community-based organizations, and the Montana Air and National Guard. I also manage the USERRA enforcement activity in the state and Veterans Preference program.I am one of eleven (11) Directors serving as a member of the VETS regional leadership team. I am a member of the national Jobs for Veterans Expert Team, and also a member of the national VETS Native American Veteran Employment Team (NAVET). NAVAT raises awareness, identifies, and shares best practices on how to serve Native American veterans living on tribal lands.I also serve as a governor appointed board member on the State Workforce Investment Board and Montana Board of Veteran Affairs.

The Veterans Employment Program is a federally funded, federally mandated program established by Congress under United States Code Title 38. The purpose of the program is to help veterans obtain the employment and job search skills needed to obtain employment in Montana.

Helena Young Professionals (HYP) is a membership group dedicated to promoting civic, professional and social development for Helena's young professionals.

Youth Connections engages all sectors of our community to create opportunities for youth to thrive and succeed,and reduce substance abuse and other risky behaviors among youth.

The Helena Citizens' Council is made up of 4 elected representatives of each of the 7 Helena Neighborhood Districts. These representatives are responsible for neighborhood organizing and district representation on city projects and issues. Our goal is to maintain or improve the quality of life for Helena citizens' by representing them as we advice the City Commission on budget, policy, issues, and projects in Helena.

The State Workforce Investment Board is responsible for advising the Governor on the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive statewide workforce development system, designed to train the maximum number of unemployed and underemployed Montanans as possible.
