With over 14 years of work experience in various outdoor education and teaching roles, I have developed strong competencies in social networking, communication, and presentations. My mission is to inspire and empower young people to learn about the world and themselves through engaging and challenging curriculum and experiences. I am currently a Geography and Politics Teacher and a Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Coordinator at Sutton Grammar School, where I contribute to the academic and personal development of students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.As a Geography and Politics Teacher, I plan and deliver lessons that cover a range of topics, such as global issues, human rights, democracy, and sustainability. I use a variety of methods and resources to engage students and assess their progress and understanding. I also coordinate the DofE program, which involves organizing and leading expeditions, training and mentoring students, and liaising with external providers and stakeholders. In addition, I am a Freelance Mountain Leader, who has led teams of teenagers in community project work and mountain climbing in East Africa and Asia. I have also instructed on Mountain Leader Training Courses with Pete Goldsmith Mountaineering. These experiences have enhanced my skills in leadership, teamwork, risk management, and intercultural communication.
