    ► Coordinated system engineering and system/subsystem design activities across multiple engineering groups and programs, leveraging consistent hardware, firmware, and software development platforms, processes, and design solutions to improve system implementation efficiency and product quality► Led successful development of Trident’s first small form factor (8 lbm) programmable synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensor, managing the program and leading the system engineering, design (hardware & software), integration, and flight test efforts, resulting successful flight tests at a Government test range on an 8ft wingspan UAV on schedule and under budget.► Built the program plan and budget, set schedule milestones and goals for the team, and laid out the overall architecture, clearly identifying the basics for the development team: functionality to be implemented, interfaces in hardware and software, and data formats that were needed to support operation, and test & integration considerations. ► Coordinated with senior staff in signal processing, RF, and radar systems, we developed a wideband platform around state-of-the-art gigasample data conversion and high performance Xilinx Virtex-5 SoC FPGAs tightly coupled to a multicore CPU, providing high real-time throughput with terrific MIPs-to-size/power performance. The RF signal chain (RF power amplification, signal conditioning) and aperture was also custom-developed in-house by the team.► Managed the budget, developed interface specifications, directed the team, and built customer relationships. Coordinated with Government SMEs on UAV integration and lab test activities. Coordinated with test range personnel and spectrum management authorities to coordinate permission to radiate and plan and develop a successful flight test campaign.
