Minworth Sewage Treatment Works CHP ReplacementTasked with overseeing the accelerated design and delivery of Minworth Sewage Treatment Works (STW) CHP Replacement project, I led this project to replace three CHP generators to programme and budget. Here, I managed a 12-month programme to remotely coordinate and lead geographically diverse, multidisciplinary design teams as well as a large international supply chain. I also coordinated complex contractual arrangements as a result of the client’s drive for procurement efficiency through established supply frameworks. Collaborating with Design Engineers to navigate limits of design scope across contracts, resulting in successful and safe installation on site I won a nomination for a regional industry award, an entry into the UK Water Industry 2014 publication and a nomination for an internal company Project Manager of the Year Award.Market Drayton STW Secondary M&E Replacement projectDelivering end-to-end management of project lifecycle, I oversaw a feasibility study, outline design and pricing project stages for Market Drayton STW Secondary M&E Replacement project. The main objective of this project was to replace ageing secondary aeration M&E plant as site was extremely vulnerable to final effluent consent as well as suffering several upper tier failures.Leading a team of mechanical, electrical and process technical experts as well as working collaboratively with the client, we identified on-site issues, proposed suitable solutions and generated target price around a robust commissioning strategy. Here, I successfully gained agreement on target price, outline design and commissioning solutions for handover to delivery team. The result was successful scheme completion that saved the client £32K+ per annum in operating expenses and carbon reduction. The scheme was also delivered without significant deviation from my proposed design and commissioning strategy.
