Provides leadership and is accountable for strategic planning/alignment and tactical execution of all production/operating processes for multiple plants across US region with high degree of complexity. Overall oversight and direct accountability for meeting Business Unit standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance.

Directs and coordinates activities of the facility to obtain optimum efficiency of operations and maximize profits. Responds to related operational problems and pursues and implements remedies to such problems. Follows operational and company objectives to direct departments through subordinate staff members. Assumes responsibility for costs, methods, operations, quality and quantity of manufacturing. Manage the activities of manufacturing, shipping, maintenance, and facility related services.Interview/hiring process for plant positions.Work closely with Corporate Headquarters to plan improvements and expansions in manufacturing processing and day-to-day operations.Evaluate and approve/disapprove the purchases of parts and supplies.Work closely with all operational department managers in the development and implementation of annual budgets.Submit detailed proposals to management after thorough investigation and confirmation that the proposal coincides with the needs and goals of the Company.Work with the Safety/EPA Assistant. Monitor regulations, employee training, permits, policies, and procedures to be assured the Company is in compliance and providing a safe work environment.Work closely with the Quality Assurance Director in implementing, changing and producing standard operating procedures for all aspects of day-to-day operations.Perform semi-annual and/or periodic evaluations for operational management personnel and office support personnel. Suggest ways for improvement in employee performance.Meet with suppliers/vendors on an as needed basis to evaluate various services and/or equipment in an effort to improve operations.Monitor manufacturing output by category to determine trends and address as needed.Monitor overtime worked in each department on a weekly basis. Display professionalism, administer and follow company rules and regulations, and work in a safe and efficient manner.Monitor operational expenses and suggest ways for improvement.
