Co-Founder and Former President & Chief Executive Officer of Revance Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: RVNC), a publicly traded biopharma company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of DAXXIFY™ (DaxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) a highly potent neuromodulator and platform of cell-penetrating peptide technology (Peptide Exchange Technology™) to treat dermatologic, neurologic and opthalmic conditions. Led corporate formation in 2002 and point person on private and public equity capital formation and successful IPO in 2014 and several follow-on financings that followed. Built out R&D, clinical and MFG/tech operations infrastructure and championed drug product and med tech pipeline priorities and new business activities. Guided the recruitment and direction of the executive management and independent board of directors. Led the development of a state-of-the-art GMP, BL3 biologics manufacturing facility in the SF Bay Area to produce drug substance and drug product at commercial scale.Proven experience in both public and private company environments with 15 years’ experience with biologics and protein/peptide cell penetrating conjugations and ambiently stabilized formulations of potent biologics, combined with 15 years’ experience with market-leading high-performance injectable and implantable and biomaterials. Experienced with a wide range of biopharmaceutical and biomaterial markets (reimbursed, self-pay, biologics, class II/III devices, BLA/PMA/10b5-1 regulatory paths, and consumer products). Exemplifies extensive, hands-on experience in all aspects of private and public company executive management, global corporate strategy, product development, upstream & downstream marketing, digital and direct to consumer. Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively in both flat and matrixed organizations across a broad range of development stages and partnerships with large pharma/biotech in the US, EU and China.
