Danb is an illustrator and artist using classical imagery in a modern setting. Inspired by early 20th century poster and product design, stripped down to the bare bones. His obsession with linework can be followed back to tattooing and seeing a design in its simplest elements. By restricting his work to just lines it creates a challenge to communicate shape, texture and movement, this struggle keeps him interested and striving to improve. T-shirt and poster designs from bands over the decades continue to provide influence, particularly those using one colour prints. This cost saving method has inspired a whole aesthetic and he’s brought that into his work.
