๐Ehya, I'm DanI began my career as an electrician over 30 years ago. I had a few good mentors along the way, but mostly the learning curve was steep and painful. There was no formalized training process and all learning was through trial and error. As a result, I made a few pretty expensive mistakes. Unfortunately, not much has changed since I started. Currently, the industry standard for training Red Seals is still sink or swim. This haphazard approach:๐๏ธ Compounds errors and raises costs๐๏ธ Takes projects off-budget๐๏ธ Lowers morale๐๏ธ Reflects badly on the contractor's reputation in the industryThis also causes a lot of new Red Seals to leave the industry, tapping out early because they donโt like the sink-or-swim method of learning.Thatโs why I created the ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ : ๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ programโto help journeymen and women learn the skills needed to effectively manage teams and run projects. The skills required to be a Foreperson are completely different from what is needed as an on-the-job wire puller, and not every Foreperson is cut out to train and mentor someone. This course doesnโt reinvent the wheel of what it means to be an Electrical Foreperson. It does lay out and codify industry best practices, and deliver the full course in one day. ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ:๐ ๏ธ Reduce costly errors and rework๐ ๏ธ Improve productivity and profitability๐ ๏ธ Improve employee retention๐ ๏ธ Improve employee morale and company cultureAnd so much more. Investing in your team creates a lot of positive ripple effects including improving your relationship with other contractors, building a reputation for professionalism, and helping you to elevate your business beyond just scraping to get by. In short, we want you to be the electrical contractor everyone wants to work ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐. I'm a Red Seal Electrician, Gold Seal certified Project Manager, and an Electrical Estimator. In 2005, I helped to rewrite the BC Electrical apprenticeship curriculum, and more recently I created the Electrical Foreperson Training: Foundational Skills course you see here and started teaching it in 2021.Over the years, I've done everything I can to improve my skills, and to help mentor up-and-coming Red Seals so they can avoid these kinds of career-ending mistakes.๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ:โ๏ธ Electrical Foreperson Training: Foundational Skills Course๐งฐ Mentorship for Electrical Contractors __________________๐ Learn more at DCTradesMentoring.com๐ท DM me if you have questions!
