About Dan Caputo
I have 20+ years of experience in the design and development of products ranging from power tools, to a robotic hose reel, to laptop computers, tablets and servers to an underwater fishing camera. I am proficient in 3D Mechanical Design of sheet metal, castings, mechanisms, stampings, weldments and plastics including plastic injection mold design. I have a great understanding of materials and finishes. I am extremely proficient in CREO including advanced surfacing. I’ve been actively using Pro Engineer since 1996. I used AutoCAD from 1985 – 2005. Earlier on in my career I've had experience in analog RF and digital PCB Design/Layout. I understand and apply top/down – bottom/up design methodology as required. I have a very good understanding of DOD, ISO, ANSI, GD&T standards & specifications. I've been responsible for many design projects. I've supervised and mentored others in my field of expertise.I always strive for perfection in design and truly feel that my skills would be an asset in any CREO Product Design role. I can use any version of CREO seamlessly. I have an Instructors Certification from PTC University. I am willing to learn any new module of CREO such as Pro/Piping, AFX, etc.I've had courses in AutoCAD, PADS PCB, REDAC CADSTAR and Pro/Engineer-1996 (Part Modeling, Advanced Part Modeling & Assembly, Pro/Detail, ISDX Surfacing, Pro/Sheet Metal, Pro/Mechanism, Pro/Assembly and Pro/Cable).
