I serve as the pianist and Artistic Director in Dallas/Fort Worth's newest big band, focusing on music for jazz ensemble composed by American Jazz Composers. Drove initiative to gain 501(c)(3) status. Experience with nonprofit board formation, management, fundraising, and nonprofit community initiatives.

As Chair of the UT System Faculty Advisory Council, I partner with leaders across the UT System and the State of Texas on higher education policy and faculty-centric issues. The FAC works closely with the System Chancellor and Vice-Chancellors, their teams, and various stakeholder groups to lead higher education change efforts to support the state of Texas and the nation. The UT System FAC is a model for shared governance, partnership, and faculty leadership throughout academia. I am privileged to work with such an outstanding group of individuals.Initiatives the FAC is currently tackling or has initiated include a national symposium on Physician Burnout, hosted by the UT System and MD Anderson Cancer Center; a system-wide Shared Governance initiative; a Dual-Credit study task force, and issues in online education.
