-Constructed high-resolution 3-D virtual models using UAV photography to quantitatively monitor surface deformation- Performed error analysis on control points within models to optimize control point placement for future projects, as well as confirm model resolution estimated by modeling software-Sub-cm model resolution provided detailed change maps of the subtle temporal surface deformation, which included areas of slumping, rock fall, surface fractures and uplift and could then be easily and accurately mapped.

-Calibrated and programmed compact multi-gas sensor and data logger, created protective housing for gas sensors and logger, and mounted gas sensor system to UAV-Tested multiple methods of mounting sensor to the UAV in order to optimize stability of the sensor during flight, ease of flight, and weight of total payload while also minimizing the interference between the gas sensors and ultrasonic sensors on the UAV and minimizing the turbulence acting on the gasses entering the dangling sensors-Piloted the UAV over fumeral fields of two Icelandic volcanic systems to measure gas emission composition-Detached the sensor system and measured gas composition by placing the system and the Icelandic Meteorological Office's(IMO) multi-gas sensor adjacent to an active fumeral as control and quality assessment-Collected gas samples for analysis in the lab for further quality assessment-Results will be submitted to the IMO to propose further use of UAV-mounted gas sensor in order to monitor pre-eruptive and eruptive volanoes and to use the system to search for locations where gases may be escaping glaciated volcanoes, and where glacial outwash floods may pose a risk

-Developed StructureSolver software to incorporate erosion, angular unconformities, and burial history diagram capabilities -Programmed along side president and co-founder, Alan Nunns, to implement these new features and debug software.
