As a Buyer i am accountable for daily activities ensuring routine and immediate inventory need for parts are procured at the lowest possible cost of the Maintenance Storeroom to achieve effective asset performance. is the individual who executes the quoting, purchasing request, and ordering of parts in order to ensure that the right parts are available for personnel. Specific to work management, the Maintenance Buyer/Expediter works with the Maintenance Planner, to ensure the right parts are/will be available to be kitted, staged and when necessary delivered to the job site. Parts store, storage and organization are specific duties for the Maintenance Buyer. In addition, the Maintenance Buyer/Expediter will identify problems with part shortages to ensure expedient replenishment of materials/parts are processed and received based upon their criticality to plant operations, reliability and throughput. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES• Creation and management of RFQ’s• Centralize Purchase Order Process• Update of Vendor, Supplier, OEM, and Expediter information in CMMS• Purchase materials and parts at the lowest possible cost that ensures continued equipment reliability and availability• Process Purchase Orders at or below spending authority• Perform routine Purchase Order and Receipt Audits
