•Served initially as a Parole Officer for state-committed offenders who ranged in age from 15 to 21 years old, covering a caseload over a geographical area of 16 zip codes within Bexar County, as well as five neighboring counties.•Subsequently was promoted to Quality Assurance Specialist in Contract Parole, where my roles combined training, consulting, and auditing for a 66 county area of South and Central Texas.•A primary responsibility was to act as liaison between individual county departments and the state agency.•Tracked progress of high profile cases and cases pending revocation or transfer and coordinated transportation of absconders jailed in different areas of the state.

•Started as a facility Juvenile Detention Officer, working rotating shifts, providing direct care to ensure safety, and carefully document all behavior.•Worked as a regular duty Juvenile Probation Officer, handling a caseload of over 50 offenders, ranging in age from 10 to 17 years old.
