Dual UK & US citizenStarted business life as a software developer and have performed many roles within the IT industry, including system design and implementation, project management, product management, marketing, sales, financial business planning, acquisition targetting and integration, corporate strategy, multi-national operations, dealing with stock market related issues and Christmas party organiser.The fun really began as one of the four founders of Integralis in 1988 and we grew the company from nothing to $100m+, 700 employees and operations in 8 countries.Since leaving Integralis, I have been non-executive director and business consultant to companies I have invested in. These include BlackSpider Technologies (sold to Surfcontrol in 2006), VRSim Inc (exited), Delacom Detection Systems LLC and Brainhat Inc (defunct - great idea but before it's time).Historic Formula One racer and past organizer of the FIA Historic Formula One Championship.Now starting the next great challenge taking Workbooks.com to the US market. ChairmanFia Historic Formula One Championship Jan 2011 - Dec 2012Having raced an ex-Nigel Mansell Lotus F1 car for over 10 years in historic events, I drew the short straw and became Chairman of the group tasked with running the FIA Championship for these cars.Organising a Championship and getting 20 plus drivers and teams to events all over Europe and occasionally beyond was a little like herding cats but the end result was worth the effort.The general economic malaise of the past few years stretched the financial viability of the Championship and we elected to merge with The Masters Series to ensure the survival of the Championship and keep these fantastic machines racing.
