I spent 24 years enlisted in the USAF. I started out as a Security Forces expert and then cross-trained into Command & Control. (Only because I wanted safety, but they knew who I was! HA!) I started my career in Albuquerque, NM and was then stationed at Pope AFB during Grenada. That was fun - getting yelled at by Army Generals! Next, I spent three years in Belgium and loved it. In 1989, I received orders to the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service and went to Scott AFB, IL. There I was introduced to what I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing - helping others. The AFRCC has been my home ever since except for that year's vacation in Korea! I retired in 2004 and taught Combat SAR Operations/Coordination at Hurlburt Field for Special Operations till 2006. Finally, the Air Force got smart and hired me back to the AFRCC and I have been back ever since. Currently at Tyndall AFB, FL I would love to have you come visit the AFRCC.
