After moving across the country during the pandemic to do political work, I took some time post vaccine to focus more on spending time with friends and loved ones. I moved (twice), spent a month camping around the southwest/west coast, officiated a wedding, planned a weekend-long 80 person party, and went to the movie theater (a lot). Through it all I job searched and made up for lost time by hugging my friends and family regularly.

2020 has been a year of political activism and organizing for me. I started in January working with the Bernie 2020 campaign, running canvasses/training canvassers and phone bankers, and managing volunteers at the SF office. After Bernie ended his campaign, some friends and I started a political organizing group called 30 Friends, doing creative campaign support for on-the-ground political organizing groups in swing states. This consisted of digital ad campaigns, fundraisers, phone banking, and door-knocking. I finished 2020 working from Atlanta with an organization called SURJ (Showing up for Racial Justice), knocking on doors in Georgia to help flip the two Senate seats in the January runoff.
