A 6 month secondment to the IT Trackside and Events Support Team in a Non-F1 role working to support our customers in the Dyno, Wind Tunnel and Simulator, as well as providing overseas support for IT services provided to INEOS Britannia for the 37th America's Cup. This role also provides the opportunity for me to travel with the team to provide IT support for Non-F1 demo days and test events at tracks.

During my time as a Senior Technical Support Engineer I was responsible for the day to day technical support around the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team factory, as well as providing overseas support for IT Services provided to INEOS Britannia for the 37th America's Cup.During my time in this role I have further improved my knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and have implemented new processes as well as improving on ones already in place while creating detailed documentation along the way.As part of this role, I have had the opportunity to setup, run and develop the IT and AV equipment used for both Race Debriefs and Company Briefings to provide a high quality and reliable stream to the wider team.

After being promoted to Incident Coordinator & Field Technician, I am now responsible for leading a three person 1st Line team, as well as coordinating site visits for all Field Technicians and escalating/resolving incidents and service requests.

Responsible for providing 2nd line onsite and remote, as well as, on-call support for the company's IT systems and users, which consists of both physical and virtual servers, 1000+ workstations, MFDs, iPhones, iPads and in house developed applications.During my time at Colas Rail I worked in a successful team to plan, design, test and implement an "IT Communication System" using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to improve the process of communicating planned outages, service disruptions and resolutions to staff members company wide.Along with another member of the IT team, I also implemented a way for the department to track which machine a software license was installed on and which staff member it was assigned to, using Microsoft Power Automate and SharePoint.Within the first year of employment, I had completed an IT Fundamentals course and an Office 365 course which consisted of SharePoint Modern Sites, Yammer, Forms, OneDrive, Delve and Teams.

My role at The Duston School was to provide support for the schools IT systems which consisted of both physical and virtual servers, 700+ workstations, MFDs, touch screens and mobile devices.Once I had settled in, I was made responsible for the delivery of maintenance of operating systems and applications using the school's SCCM server. It's fair to say that I struggled at first but eventually found my way around after consulting multiple forums, guides and youtube videos.I persevered through the struggles and eventually managed to create a thin-image of Windows 10 and package up all of the schools desktop applications. After testing with newly created GPO's, the new Windows 10 image was systematically deployed to the schools workstations.

During my time at Virgin Media I started as an install only field technician and was later trained to be a fully fledged service technician as I gained more and more knowledge and a better understanding of what would cause faults and outages.It was my responsibility to install and service broadband, television and phone systems in the customers property as well as maintaining Virgin Media's high standards on tidiness and health and safety both in customers properties and street cabinets and pits.

I started this role as an IT Technician Apprentice and was under the guidance of an incredible IT Systems Manager and a supportive IT Technician. A year in to my role, the IT Technician at the time was made redundant and a new role created. This new role was offered to me and I stepped up to support a school of over 1000 students and 250 staff members.My main duties were to provide support for the Academy's IT systems which consisted of both physical and virtual servers, 500+ workstations, MFDs and a Unify CCTV and wireless system.During my time at Harris CofE Academy I gained mass amounts of knowledge of the IT world and especially IT in an Educational environment.
