I have an active publications record, publishing a few technical papers every year. Currently I am working on a few projects at the Institute for Creative Technologies, e.g. the Navy Mentor-PAL project to provide an on-line career mentor for those considering U.S. Navy STEM careers. I have presented visiting lectures at STEM high Schools on the necessity for writing skills in STEM personnel and a copy of my slides for that can be found on my web page under "Courses Recently Taught by Team Members". My specialty is getting researchers to increase their publication output.

Usc 2002 - 2013Information Sciences Institute,, University Of Sorthern California, Marina Del RDirected a large multi-million dollar research project that exemplif ied the ready utility of High Performance computing for large-scale simulations. J9, the Joint Experimentation Program at the US Joint Forces Command, was tasked with ensuring that the United States’ armed forces benefited from improvements in doctrine, interoperability, and integration. In order to simulate the future battlespace, J9 had to expand the capabilities of its JSAF code along several critical axes: continuous experimentation, number of entities, behaviors complexity, terrain databases, dynamic infrastructure representations, environmental models, and analytical capabilities. Increasing the size and complexity of JSAF exercises in turn required increasing the computing resources available to JFCOM. The staff at ISI, under my direction, set new records for the size and complexity of battlefield simulations, achieving ten million SAF entities in one simulation. Our work resulted in 33 technical papers in competitive conferences and journals. -
