I support, evaluate, and provide oversight and technical assistance to charter school authorizers. Charter school authorizers in MN consist of non-profit organizations, 2 and 4 year colleges and universities, chambers of commerce, public school districts and single-purpose authorizers.

Executive Director of PACT Charter School in Ramsey, MN. PACT is one of the first charter schools in MN and in the United States. It opened its doors in 1994 and has been in existence for 18 years. Charter school law began in the state of MN. PACT is a public K-12 charter school with 600+ students. At the core of its existence is the partnership between parents, teachers and administration in the decision-making process of the organization. PACT is known for its parental involvement, teachers looping with students (for multiple years), 4-day school week, extensive committee involvement/structure, character development, strong basics in the elementary and college preparatory curriculum in the secondary program, and successful graduates.

Taught a multigrade class of 5th and 6th grade students. Sat on the Board of Directors from 1998-1999.

Worked for two years at Appeal Elementary as a 5th grade teacher and then transferred to Mount Harmony Elementary (where my wife was working) as a 4th/5th grade teacher for four years.Director of Before and After School Program at Mt. Harmony Elementary for 1 1/2 years.Coached 4th-6th grade after school basketball for 2 years.
