Duties include quoting non & recurring costs, pre-plan, establish schedules, concept/order tooling, structure mfg build planning, set manpower requirements, develop hardware prior to production & customer coordination. Current area of involvement is the new Boeing 737-700 fan cowl assembly. Experience in composite structures, sheet metal structures & engine build-up/functional test. Served 2 years as Production Engineering Group lead (supvr.) responsible for 14 individuals covering areas of liaison & project Mfg Eng’g, liaison Design Eng’g, planning services, maintenance & standard tooling. Have done extensive field service work & coordination of activity relative to repair, mod, & retrofit of components delivered from Heber Springs at both airframers & airliners.

Senior Project Mfg. Eng’r in charge of new program start-up relative to engine build-up, mock-up engineer for wiring harnesses, systems tubing mock-up & fabrication. Sr. Mfg Eng’r for Man-Tech (manufacturing technologies) which establish new practices/methods & tooling for assembly, composite lay-up shop, & secret programs. Also spent time in the Flight Test Eng’g organization instrumenting new programs. Have done field service work on coordinating repair, retrofit & mod for engines & related components delivered to customers.

Senior Project Mfg. Eng’r for B-1B major forward intermediate fuselage structural mate, integral seal, systems installation & test. Duties included concept major structural mate assembly jigs, sealant jigs & systems/testing fixtures. Also included mock-up of hydro/fuel/ECS/pneumatic tubing, wire harnesses, coax cable, wave guide, fuel management sensors, wingsweep/brake/flight control systems, as well all structural/mechanical/electrical/video instrumentation.

Yard/Road Freight Brakeman/Conductor handling railroad switching, pick-up & delivery duties.
