Responsible for providing management and consulting services across 4 US regions, from the Rockies east, consisting of 24 projects within the private, public, commercial, residential, medical, and DOD construction industries. Additionally, selected as a member of Executive Management Group responsible for business development in new and existing markets as well as new and existing clients, contractors, and vendors.MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING SERVICES- Conducts business reviews, analysis of safety management implementation, and provides recommendations and strategies for safety performance improvement to executive management team.- Provide technical support and guidance to project sites in implementation and interpretation of safety policies, procedures, and standards.- Conducts safety assessments/inspections of project construction activities to monitor compliance with safety/health requirements including contractual commitments, laws and regulations, and the project’s ES&H.- Developed and manages a safety training program as well as outlines and material.- Leads incident investigations, root cause analysis, and makes recommendations for corrective actions.

Charged with assessing and strengthening our ES&H Business Management System and how they are implemented on our projects, create consistency across the entire organization, and ensure they are aligned with our business vision, values, and goals.ACHIEVEMENTS- Reviewed the Safety Management System; completed a gap analysis; created a strategic plan to re-align with current business objectives, goals, visions, and values while creating consistency across all business lines within the business unit; worked with executive staff to get buy-in and support by integrating their needs; restructured and updated the Safety Management System; prepared a roll-out strategy; and implemented the system across all business lines within the business unit.

Managed several different projects through all phases (mobilization, construction, startup, and close-out) in fossil, nuclear, renewable, and communication/transmission projects in MD, FL, CA, Libya, KY, Alberta, and VA. Responsible for developing, integrating and implementing all aspects of project-related Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) (including medical and industrial hygiene), processes, plans, procedures, systems, methods and policies critical to the success of ES&H.ACHIEVEMENTS- Assigned to struggling projects at multiple locations where I re-structured and aligned the Safety and Health programs while implementing continuous improvement practices resulting in a reversal in safety performance leading the projects to successfully complete with a reduction in injuries by over 57%.RESPONSIBILITIES- Developed and supervised the implementation of the ES&H plan for a specific project or facility in accordance with established polices, processes, procedures and methods, client and/or host country requirements and regulations.- Supervised and/or performed daily monitoring of work practices of Bechtel and other contractors/ subcontractors to ensure compliance.- Supervised and conducted project accident investigations; documents factors contributing to an incident and prepares required reports.- Developed and managed the project ES&H Training program.

Responsible for providing technical oversight of the project’s safety/health compliance activities through identification and integration of applicable requirements into project designs, subcontract bid specifications, construction plans and schedules and other field execution activities. Worked directly with other project-level functional leads (e.g., legal, engineering, construction, subcontracts, procurement, project controls, document controls) to assist them in integrating and/or addressing the applicable safety/health requirements in their work products and activities. Coordinated with the global business unit Manager regarding significant project safety/health issues and safety support needs.ACHIEVEMENTS- Identified, developed, and implemented a corporate Safety and Health strategic plan resulting in a major reversal in safety performance across the entire organization leading to continuous safety improvement where injuries were reduced by over 50% year-over-year.RESPONSIBILITIES- Developed and implemented safety management programs.- Prepared comprehensive project ES&H plan, safety and health specific plans, project specific mitigation plans, safety and health awareness training programs, and technical and regulatory reports.- Conducted safety assessments/inspections of project construction activities to monitor compliance with safety/health requirements including contractual commitments, laws and regulations, and the project’s ES&H plan.- Developed and conducted Safety Leadership Workshops, People Based Safety Training, and Hazard Recognition for Project/Field Supervisors.- Coordinated with and provided technical assistance to other project-assigned functional leads (e.g., legal, engineering, subcontracts, procurement, project controls) with regards to compliance with project-specific safety/health requirements.

Responsible for assisting project Safety Manager in the implementation and operations of the Project Safety Program including the development of site safety policies and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES- Assists in the development of work plans and job hazard analysis in the planning, design, and construction phases.- Responsible for conducting project safety surveys, spot inspections, and regulatory compliance audits.- Monitors daily work practices to ensure compliance with regulations for company, craft, and sub-contractor workers.- Confers with Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure compliance with customer and governmental requirements.- Designs and conducts safety and health training courses for existing and new employee orientations.

Provided essential team support to neutralize explosive hazards that pose a threat to personnel, operations, installations, material, and the environment.• Responsible for detection, evaluation, render safe, and disposal of US and foreign chemical, biological, conventional, nuclear weapons, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).• Reviewed, developed, maintained, and administered Explosive Safety Program.• Implemented and monitored Ground and Explosive Safety Program to ensure compliance with established standards.• Responsible for developing, scheduling, and training EOD skills to assigned personnel.• Instructed base populace on explosive ordnance reconnaissance, vehicle search, and the use of explosive simulators.• Personally responsible for development of Operational Readiness Inspection training plan.• Developed a new curriculum for GBS & smoke grenade “Train the Trainer” course.• Provided hazardous material (HAZMAT) response capability for incidents involving explosive ordnance.
