Summit Physical Therapy is a locally and privately owned physical therapy company that began in 2007. Kevin Kostka and Dan Dotson conceived Summit Physical Therapy when they began scheduling physical therapy house-call services in the Chattanooga community. Their focus was to improve patient results by offering a unique set of one-on-one services in a convenient environment at home, work, or school. This more traditional approach caught on quickly and Summit began to grow its team into the Home Health environment. The quality of the services and results at Summit did not go unnoticed. Summit Physical Therapy soon opened three geriatric focused outpatient facilities to better assist the independent and assisted living communities. Summit Physical Therapy expanded again in 2010 and began developing another arm of its practice and began growing its outpatient sports medicine team. Summit has fostered and embraced relationships and partnerships with the Sportsbarn, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Erlanger, local high schools, collegiate teams, retirement communities, and physicians by focusing their approach based on the methodologies of physiology, researched-based medicine, bio-mechanical analysis, injury prevention and progression back to life, work or sport.
