In this role I was managing the Security Operations team and being the first point of contact for technical information security related matters.

In this role I was part of a 3rd line technical support and solutions team which is responsible for the entire server estate, which requires support 24/7 with an on-call rota of which I cover every other week all year round. Other than supporting the day to day operations of a 3rd line team, the other key parts to my role is being resourced to projects where my job is to design, capacity plan, implement, troubleshoot & maintain solutions end to end. In this role it was my responsibility to support all users at all levels. My role was to troubleshoot all hardware & software related faults, building / upgrading laptops & desktops, network patching, video conferencing and maintaining our printers, scanners, photocopiers.During my time in this role I played a key part in the upgrade/deployment of Windows 7 from Windows XP and Office 2003 to Office 2010 for head office & field based users.

This role was a 2 year fixed term contract which I started immediately after finishing college.Whilst there I was required to update local parish council websites as well the WDDC website. I also assisted in working on the DorsetForyou.com website..My main responsibility whilst there was to write programs for our intranet site then train our staff in how to use them.Key language I used whilst there was VB.NET. Which I also acquired Microsoft Certification for whilst working there.
