My four year apprenticeship was carried out at Pressure Dynamics.Becoming a fully qualified Mechanical Tradesman I furthered my knowledge in Hydraulics and Pneumatics arena, my qualifications were one of the first nationally recognised in the Fluid power industry.The next seven years found me working in many different and interesting sites .Some of the company’s I serviced were the Royal Australian Navy with there constant tensioning winch systems in Darwin. Telfer Gold Mine’s land based drill equipment was modified and proportional control systems were installed.Daily visits to Alcoa for routine maintenance on their Stacker loading systems where flow and pressure checks were carried out on Rexroth proportional HPU’s.Appointed Technician for refurbishment for Tieback Winch System aboard the Woodside vessel the Cossack Pioneer.Involved in the overhaul of Woodside LNG onshore gas plant ESD System.Commissioned Bayu-Undan Elastomer Hydraulic Control System in Korea (Ulsan) ConocoPhillips for the landing of the topsides onto its jacket.
