About Dan Eshet, Phd
For the past eight years, I have served as program director at the Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Salem State University. I have helped to scale up our programs from two or three a year to more than ten events and workshops. In addition, we have expanded our partnerships with local organizations on the North Shore, curated exhibits, and developed our Yom HaShaoh ceremony, which attracts over 300 attendees remotely and in person. My work experience combines project planning and management, community outreach and engagement, and communications and extensive writing. Prior to my work at SSU, I served as senior editor at Facing History where I authored several books and online modules for teachers. Ph.D. from UCLA. College teaching experience (including Harvard University). Experienced mentor and team leader with extensive knowledge of digital media and educational tools. I am passionate about preparing young people for an engaged and meaningful life, and strive to apply my skills in a mission-driven organization.
