RecoverX created the world's first battery powered cold and heat pack.  It reaches optimal therapeutic temperatures in under 60 seconds, and is controlled through a smartphone app.  The device doesn't use any ice or water and is completely portable, helping users get the rehab they need when they need it. - Develop test scripts using Matlab to create repeatable automated motions in order to test the reliability of our surgical instruments. Traditional testing takes 3 weeks, and the automated motion script cut testing down to 24 hours. Presented work to company in July, and now currently rolling out scripts to additional instruments and platforms.- Investigate root cause of emerging design, manufacturing, and material defects of electromechanical devices.- Create, execute, and document Test Plans and Protocols for formal Design Verification and Validation that meet FDA standards.

- Worked on embedded system that tests surgical system brakes using motor, encoder, and Matlab communication.- Develop and verify modifications to surgical robots and instruments.

- Identify quality issues related to Intuitive Surgical's product including instruments, accessories, software, and hardware subsystems.- Drive resolution of product quality issues through data analysis, reporting, and change advocacy.- Assure quality of new designs through testing and protocol execution.

- Pioneered the Preventative Maintenance project which identified the primary failures of three Stryker Endoscopy products and determined 51% of failures could be improved through a detailed service procedure.- Structured analysis systems to accurately predict when device breakdowns will occur. This new program prevents unexpected failures during surgery by notifying the user of potential malfunctions.- Analyzed data, usage time, cost, and risk of endoscopy medical instruments discovering over 370 probable errors.- Pitched to Director of R&D and Director of Quality Engineering accompanied with a detailed 90-page technical report that resulted in continuation of the recommended program.
