Developed a full-stack solution for Geolocat, a suite of handheld devices designed to monitor location and environmental metrics for applications in vehicle security, personal safety, and logistics. The devices report data (e.g., speed, altitude, direction) via TCP connections to a server. My contributions include:- End-to-End Software Development: Designed and implemented an end-to-end system, from server connectivity to a secure web application for data visualization. Deployed the solution using Azure cloud services, ensuring reliable and scalable access for users.- Stakeholder and Project Management: Managed stakeholder relationships throughout development, conducting regular update meetings and feedback sessions to align project phases and deliverables with business needs.- Technical Innovation: Adapted the solution for improved scalability by replacing blocking synchronous API calls with asynchronous messaging and migrating data storage from SQL to NoSQL for faster, more efficient data retrieval.- Performance Optimization: Diagnosed and resolved high CPU and memory usage in the C# TCP listener application by migrating this component to GoLang. This change reduced server load from an average of 80% CPU and 120MB memory to 3% CPU and 5MB memory, vastly improving concurrency and network efficiency.
