While with Allied Ventilation, I used a 3rd party AutoCAD package called Cad-Duct, which allowed me to design true 3-D HVAC systems. This not only provided the field with detailed drawings to install the duct, but also broke down each fitting so that it could be fabricated in the shop. The end 3-D drawing was than able to be incorporated within BIM (Building Information Modeling) and then ran through NavisWorks, which is a collision software program. It was my responsibility to coordinate my duct with other trades involved on the project both over the phone and during weekly meetings to meet set deadlines. My responsibilities also included field measuring existing trades in renovation jobs, and to assure that the job was done on time.As a project manager my responsibilities included organizing man power, coordinating materials, equipment, and sub contractors to meet the schedule. Estimating change proposals, and meeting with clients were also required.

I was involved in a company committee to help establish better company procedures and standards. I also attended multiple AutoCAD conferences on behalf of my company, both in state and out of state, in which I was required to bring back what I learned and provide a demonstration to the rest of my department. I was responsible to set up jobs, order materials, coordinate materials with engineers, vendors and project managers. My responsibilities also included field measuring existing trades in renovation jobs, and to assure that the job was done on time. All of our drawings were also required to be done within BIM requirements. I also was involved with testing new software and setups, developing procedures, and establishing an electronic file structure.
