I have several years experience working with small builders on private residential projects and as such have gained knowledge of various trades in a complete house build, but my main focus was first fix carpentry.whilst at bovis, I've been a material controller and was in charge of scheduling and the distribution of materials. on top of these duties I assisted the site managers in all key stage inspections and snagging properties as I was keen to become an assistant site manager. in April of 2016 my site manager gave me the opportunity to take on an assistant role on 2 phases. 1 phase was between pre plaster and finals and I worked through these 18 plots untill I got them signed off by the clients. the second phase was at oversite and consisted of 6 housing association plots and 30 apartments. on this phase I ordered all materials, read drawings and scheduled trades for work. I would also hold daily briefing meetings each morning and successfully kept a very good health and safety report. I kept moral very high on site and the contractors found me very helpful and cooperative. I built a good team and gave encouragement and praise where necessary and in return gained valuable respect which I think is very important.
